Why use our Security Dogs?

Stand alone unarmed guards and especially armed guards are easily overthrown and firearms stolen, used in other crimes and reliance on the Security Officers here can place the security provider & client at greater risk.

The use of canine assisted guarding units as an alternative and in addition to normal guarding services, vehicle patrol and armed response units is therefore highly recommended to security consumers.

The dogs are more alert, have a better sense of smell & hearing, run faster and are a much greater deterrent than a stand alone security officer. Not only do the protection dogs provide greater protection to the consumer and their premises but also to the security officers or rather dog handlers, who are often attending to an alarm/ panic activations or patrolling high risk, vacant and desolate sites alone and unarmed.
Protection dogs are there to protect and contain the situation in the event of an intruder or suspicious persons whilst working in an environment where staff and members of the pubic are present E.g. shopping centres, retail complexes, financial institutions, car parks, campuses/ colleges, construction sites, warehousing, residential complexes, sports venues etc. An area where the use of firearms would not be wise unless in close quarters with the suspect/s.

The primary objective of these canine assisted guarding units is to protect the consumer, their premises, assets, staff & clients by proactively patrolling on foot, in a vehicle or posted static with the aim of identifying suspicious elements in the vicinity/ immediate site area, confronting such elements and deflecting them away from the premises. The foot patrol & static unit may also function in a primary reactive capacity responding to any panic or distress signal received from the premises and further still assisted by armed response vehicular back-up.
